Checklist Before Setting Up Audio Campaigns

  1. Order Audio Deals

    Deals are required to run audio campaigns. Please refer to the article Publisher Contact Information for the relevant contact details.

  2. Check Audio Creative Specifications

    Ensure your audio files comply with the publishers' technical specifications. Refer to the article Audio Creative Specifications


Setting Up Audio Campaigns

The setup process for an audio campaign is not significantly different from any other type of campaign in BidTheatre, except when it comes to uploading your audio files. This will be explained more clearly in this article.

Audio inventory can be purchased in three ways:

  1. Video Ad + Video Creative

  2. Audio Ad + Video Creative

  3. Audio Ad + Audio Creative

The choice of purchase depends on how publishers require the audio file to be delivered. This means audio files need to be purchased differently when targeting different publishers and SSP's (Supply Side Platforms). This will be adjusted at Ad Creatives in the campaign.


1. Video Ad + Video Creative - Audio posing as Video

SSP: Magnite / Rubicon Project
Publishers: Spotify, Azerion

Many sellers, like the ones mentioned above, are providing means to buy audio ad inventory through the same setup as for video.

How to upload your audio creatives:
To upload audio files targeting this inventory, go to the Campaign Setup —> Ad creatives and use the drag-and-drop function to upload your audio file. Then, select the following option:



2. Audio Ad + Video Creative - The in-between

SSP's: Xandr, AdsWizz
Publishers: Acast, Bauer Media, Azerion

Xandr and AdsWizz audio inventory is present as Supply Type: 'Audio', but creatives will need to be presented as the VAST standard used for video.

How to upload your audio creatives:
To upload audio files targeting this inventory, go to the Campaign Setup —> Ad creatives and use the drag-and-drop function to upload your audio file. Then, select the following option:




3. Audio Ad + Audio Creative - Proper Audio creatives

ASX supports the DAAST standard for audio creatives, and will analyze bid requests for the Audio objects present from OpenRTB 2.4.

How to upload your audio creatives:
To set up your campaign to respond to this inventory, go to the Campaign Setup —> Ad creatives and use the drag-and-drop function to upload your audio file. Then, select the following option:
