Campaign Categories & Countries affected
Running political ads in BidTheatre DSP will require some additional information and impose some limitations compared to standard campaign categories. Campaigns containing the following categories will be affected:

Law, Gov't & Politics - Politics
Given that the country is any of:
Member of the European Union
Norway
Restrictions will apply both via the UI and the API.
Political Campaign Settings
For campaigns with the above category, the following fields will be displayed.
Political Event
This is the event that is being advertised. Possible choices will be pre-configured in BidTheatre DSP. Reach out to support@bidtheatre.com if you wish an event added.
Campaign Sponsor
A sponsor is "the person or entity on whose behalf a political advertisement is prepared, placed, promoted, published, delivered or disseminated, for instance an individual candidate in an election or a political party, and who is normally the person or entity providing remuneration.
Sponsors are typically:
Political parties
Individual candidates for office
NGOs and civil society organizations
Companies engaging in advocacy
Think tanks
Campaign organizations
Each political campaign must have a sponsor, and optionally, a different sponsor that is responsible for payment. A sponsor may also be controlled by another sponsor.
Political campaign sponsors can be managed in Assets / Political Sponsors.
Campaign Financials
You must share information about how the campaign is financed.
The total campaign budget
The aggregated amounts and the aggregated value of other benefits received by the providers of political advertising services for the political advertisement.
Information on the origin of the amounts and other benefits received by the providers of political advertising services: {public, private, EU, non-EU}
Campaign Targeting
You must provide free text descriptions that truthfully describes the campaign goal, targeting and rationale.
Goal, e.g., 'Reach voters aged 25-54 interested in healthcare policy in swing districts'
Inclusion parameters, e.g. 'We target users who match geography Stockholms Län'
Exclusion parameters, e.g. 'We exclude users under the age of 18'
Rationale, e.g. 'These parameters were selected to reach relevant constituents'
Audit
To ensure compliance, until further notice, all political campaigns will be manually audited by Vitec BidTheatre before set live.
