Geo targeting allows you to focus your campaigns on specific geographic areas, such as countries, regions, cities, or even coordinates. For more technical information on how we identify users based on their location, please refer to the article Geo Target.

Where to Create a Geo Target

You can create a geo target in two ways:

  1. Via the Main Menu:

    • Go to Assets → Geo Target → New Geo Target.

  2. Directly Within a Campaign:

    • Navigate to the final step of the campaign setup, Bid Strategies. Here, you can create a geo target either under Default Settings or directly within a specific strategy.

    • Click the plus symbol (+) to create your custom geo target:

Regardless of where you create your custom geo target, it will be saved and can be reused in future campaigns. It will be available directly in the geo target dropdown menu as well as under the main menu, Assets Geo Target.

How to Create a Geo Target

  1. Start by giving your geo target a name, then click Create.

  2. You will now be presented with various options to define your desired geo area.

Using the Search Bar

If you want to add entire countries, regions, or cities, you can easily do so by searching for a specific location using the search bar. Click the Add button to include the location. You can repeat this process as many times as needed to add multiple locations:

Easily adjust your location's radius as desired:

Geo Target Coordinates

  • If you already know the specific coordinates you want to target, you can enter the latitude and longitude values here.

  • Note: Coordinates must be entered using periods as decimal separators (e.g., 59.3293), not commas.

  • Choose a desired radius (in kilometers) around these coordinates. Click the plus icon to add the coordinates.

Alternatively, you can use the map view and click directly on the map to add a coordinate:

Additional Notes

  • Geo targets that include countries not enabled on your account will not work. Please refer to the Countries article for information on how to enable additional countries for your account.

  • You can also limit a geo target to a specific country. This can be useful when creating geo targets that extend beyond borders you don’t want to appear in. This can be managed at the bottom of the geo target settings:
