Introduction

A Point of Interest (POI) screen list is a powerful tool for targeting specific locations that are highly relevant to your audience. By focusing on areas where your potential customers are most likely to be, you can enhance the effectiveness of your DOOH campaigns. Whether it’s a retail store, a stadium, or a busy intersection, a POI screen list helps ensure your message reaches the right people at the right place.

Important Considerations

  • Deals: All publishers, except for Ocean Outdoor, require deals to access their inventory. For access to BidTheatre’s open DOOH deals, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

  • Publisher Segmentation: It is not possible to mix publishers within a single screen list. This means you will need to create a separate list for each publisher.

How to Create a POI Screen List

Follow these steps to create a POI screen list:

  1. Navigate to Supply -> Media Lists -> New Media List.

    Choose an appropriate name for your media list and set the following options:

    Type: "Screens".

    Status: "Active".


  2. Click "Create Media List"

  3. Add Points of Interest (POI)

    • Click on the Point of Interest tab.

    • Select your desired POI category.

    • Use the default radius of 100 m, and click the plus icon to add the POI to your list.


  4. Filter by Publisher

    • Since it's not possible to mix publishers within a single screen list for DOOH campaigns, click on the Supplier tab.

    • Add a supplier whose screens you want to include in your list.



  5. Sync Screens to Your List

    After selecting the POI and a supplier, click Update List to sync the screens into your list.

Repeat this process to create separate lists for each publisher you want to include.

Final Step - Connect a Deal to the List

To access some DOOH inventory (all except for Ocean Outdoor), a deal is required. Follow these steps to link your deal to the screen list:

  1. Add the Deal in the Platform (One time only)
    Upload your deal via Supply -> Deals -> New Deal and fill in your details as follows:


    Important: Uncheck the "Auto sync to Media List" box. When creating a custom screen list, it is crucial to uncheck this box to prevent all the deal’s screens from automatically syncing into your list. We recommend naming the deal clearly to indicate that it does not use the auto-sync feature.


  2. Link the Deal to Your List - (Every time you create a custom screen list)
    Locate your POI screen list via Supply -> Media List. On the same row, click on Deals:



    Then, click the Add Deals button, select your deal, and click Add Deals again to link the deal to your list.

Now your screen list is ready to be added and used in your campaign!

Add Your Screen List to a Campaign

In the final step of the campaign setup, add your custom screen list to the campaign:

  1. Click the New Bid Strategy button.

  2. Find your screen list by searching for it in the Media Lists field.

Note: Even if you have created a custom screen list, a campaign must always have a Geo Target. It is recommended to select the entire country as the Geo Target. The campaign will only be displayed on the selected screens in the list, ensuring precise targeting.
